Re: Vs series 3 v8 ute
Hey Yoda,
Sorry for the big delay in reply, (but I am up and running now logging data) as stated just a beginner but you referred to the mgc vs rpm multiplier table, I was just wondering which one you where referring to was it the open loop in the AFR section of the tables.
Thanks,

Re: Vs series 3 v8 ute
The table is "Injector Rate Constant Vs mg/cyl Vs RPM".
This table can be used to adjust fuelling in a specific mgc (effectively engine load) and RPM area.
Ideally you want to tune so that the commanded AFR matches the wideband, once you have this correct then you can adjust the commanded AFR table for what you want.
There is a spreadsheet " Injector Multiplier Tuning.xls" in the viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2518
Note that commanded AFR on the MAF's is more complicated than earlier MAP base3d systems as it is a combination of coolant temperature and time.
Refer "MAF Tuning helpers" in this thread viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396
This is why it's best to log which shows the commanded AFR (after all the PCM calculations) which can then be compared with the wideband.

Thanks yoda69,
Must admit it's a little over whelming to start with, and I'm a visual leaner (monkey see...monkey do) so this is going to be a challenge for me but really want to learn, is there anything else I really should read or look at to help, is there anything on YouTube or anything adjusting tables ect.
Thanks heaps for your help it's awesome to know there is blokes like you to help us beginners.

Click on the green FAQ box at the top right hand side of the site and have a read as a start.
Also do a search of the site as a good chance someone else may have had similar issues.
If no luck with the above then start a new topic.
Whereabouts you based?

Thanks Barnsie49,
It will be a 179kw tune as there where no differenc in tune between the SS and S in the series 3 if it's the stock tune, the maloo got the 195kw tune
