Hay mate does that old trick of holding mode & set buttons on trip computer & starting car actually give u fault codes ??? Just tried it on mine & was just 32 "0"'s & the 4 times I've seen in done results were the same ??

That shows faults only related to faults that the instrument cluster picks up. Ie.. lost communication to radio ect.

Best bet is to do what Holden202T suggested. :)

I actually had the same issue on my VZ SV6, would miss when accelerating hard, turned out to be a dodgy coil, and the computer told me exactly which one it was, I moved it to another cylinder, cleared the codes and after a few days it came back on the cylinder it was moved to!

I had a job a while back which was incorrectly diagnosed as an ECM from another sparky.
Rocked up to the joint, and shitty cheapo ebay coil packs were put in on 4 of the 6 cylinders. To confirm, grabbed a new one from supercheap.. threw it in.. was then down to only 3 cylinders being an issue.

It wasnt till AFTER I changed one and solved one issue that the guy decided to say "Oh I changed 4 coils about 6months ago".

Sooo.. take it from experience.. cheapo coils = not worth it.
