Got vn level 2 dash for ute..thought it looked cool compared to more plain vp dash, might take it back to swap for vp or vs dash.

Needs alot of work as in solder regulator prongs, odo gear, several globes for hazard etc & worst of all some tosser swapped white lights for blue crap.

Which dash face is better vn or vs?

This is literally the only pic I could find on google images for a VP level 2, only results I got was VN and VR/VS ones in a VP.

Anyway the thing I like about the VP ones is the longer graduation marks are white while the smaller once are light blue. I will try get a shot of my one in the S as its not faded at all and shows true form.

Yeah liking the extra increments for rev tacho just like vp speedo...probably be only dash they don't have lol

First I liked vn dash with green but 500 rpm increment looks cheap & worst of all it'd need another odo cog,1/2 the globes don't work & worst of all it's got BLUE lights in it that not only look shit with the green & mustard, barely light the dash up.

Revs higher than it sounds after test drive around block with vn level 2 dash...turns a wheel just under 2k rpm now.

It's not sounding happy at idle in yard after several highway trips...noisey balancer or tensioner & pinion bearings now

Best commodore dash imho.

One thing I never understood was why all the hubba bubba over the level 3 dashes people seem to have, they look shite to me.

They scream camry to me, where the VP level 2 and even the BT1 look like plain and simple performance.

The more I look at vn cluster the more I regret grabbing it & doesn't match tan trim inside.

Bit annoyed part of the car I see most only 1/2 finished..trying not to be ocd with this thing grrr

Caved in to peer group pressure...now in posession of vp level 2 cluster!!!!

Had to dig out about 10 dashes to find vp unicorn they had buried away in there...will do usual fixes before it goes in & put my lower mileage speedo.

*Vlad tune arrived.
*3.45 gears ready to go..just need trim pot fitted & catch diff builder on free afternoon.
*Fitted vr steering wheel..got syringes unsure what to use to fix grip twist
*Brass horn button to replace worn down original
*Found shorter pedder gas/comfort shocks in shed
*Got 4 new retreads & wheel alignment today...steering is sooo light.

Broke blinker tab other day swapping clusters...didn't realise bumped blinker & snapped plastic tab putting steering wheel also looks like radiator has fine crack....tensioner or balancer getting louder.

Not yet been told start date for job yet so trying to fix vital things first...hopefully clutch will be ok for a few months as not keen to do that in backyard lol
