How to add boost to 424?

Post by h4x0r »

I recently started my 304 with a 424 ecu by simply writing default 11P to my memcal. Now its time to add boost. What is the next step to getting my 424 to work with a turbo?

You'll need to get a two bar map sensor hook up a wideband O2 sensor tick the correct map sensor setting in tunerpro and start populating the boost tables or there are a few turbo 304 tunes on here that should be a good starting point most are probably 12p but there is a couple of 11p or you can just copy the relevant tables from 12p to 11p
Then start it and tune away

Oh and probably look at upgrading the injectors the standard 19-20lb injectors will easily go to high on duty cycle depending on boost and type of fuel if just running standard pump fuel and say 10 psi 36 to 40lb injectors should be enough if higher boost or say methanol definitely going to need bigger injectors
