Linking e38 to ve

Post by Antwon »

Hi have a ve as the ecu pooped it self so replaced it with a new one and used the tech2 to program it with sps. I went to link it to the car ive got the security code just trying to figure out the linking side of it as when I go on the tech2 engine> programming> program immobiliser function. I get an error and says it failed is there a step I'm missing or do I have to link them a different way cheers

When you say you replaced it with a new one do you mean 'brand new'? If not the old vin is probably causing your error. Check all related modules for dtc's, that will point you in the right direction.
