That xdf is not 100% and has a few errors, and I think PPK is one of them.
It appears to be a $11 updated to $83 but with a number of errors.
As a check open up the Parameter summary list and sort by address.

As you can see by the above boxes in red, for the same data there are 2 different parameters listed, obviously one of them is wrong, but which one?
I'm pretty sure the address 802A is something to do with spark and not PPK.

Problem with that xdf is the bin size in the xdf header is 8000 and not 10000.
That should fix the problem of it not saving, but I still wouldn't trust all the information in it.

Hummm....V2 on that XDF I put together maybe 5 + years ago now. There would be a few issues with it as seen. Yes it was a hacked GMPCM file from 11 that was hanging around in those days. 11 is pretty close to 83, you will find most parameters are 1 or 2 hex left or right to make 83. I remember geting to version 5 somewhere along the way.......Think I have forgotten more then I know. Still not a bad effort in them days when a 83 was no where to be seen.

Glad you got it sorted.

Can't believe it's been 8 years since i did this project; I've just re-read my own post to bring me up to speed on doing it all again, it's all coming back to me, awesome!
