Car won't start

Post by nutbag355 »

Ok so I've fitted my nvram to my pcm and the car won't start, nor can I connect the flash tool or tunerpro. I've loaded the ose bin,xdf and adx files but still no joy. Fit the standard memcal and the car runs. I've tried changing g the echo settings. The led light comes on on the nvram when the ignition is on but it won't start or connect. Any help?

Does the light stay lit for a couple of seconds after you turn the key back off

It's a vr gst so no thermo and it not a connection issue with the cable as I just fitted the stock memcal started the car and could log using the appropriate adx.

Corrupted tune on nvram the light should stay lit when you key off if it doesn't no code is running on the ecu hence no connection

Do you have a memcal plugged in it or set on jumper mode.if it's corrupt or the wrong base file will need programmed with a chip programmer.there is another half of the nvram if you pull the jumper it will switch to the other program and may still function.i presume you added the write wire jumper on the back side of the pcm before fitting the nvram board

It's set on jumper mode and yep I've fitted the write wire to the back. I've also got a programmer at home. But I do t have the adapter to fit it I presume I'd need to remove the chip from the board to re write it? Will remove the jumper first and see what happens
