Thanks!
What is the difference between automatic and manual transmission mode?

Idle settings in and out of gear. Can you have a limit switch hooked up to your current gear lever?

I could rig something up. I was planning on trying to tweak the stall saver for dropping it into gear... perhaps a switch is a better option.

I did the wiring some time ago... I think I may have actually earthed B10 but can’t be certain. I will check next time I get the chance.

If you have your desired idle speed set the same in or out of gear the switch makes no difference
the only other that might come into play is idle fuel delay before using in /out gear

I think your barking up the wrong tree ,get the fuel right at idle first
have posted a log of mine with just blips of throttle and free revs remember this is system with no idle stepper motor or stall saving or flywheel
desired idle set at 850 you can see spark control retarding timing to keep Engine at desired rpm

Thanks for attaching your log Jenko; looks good.
I will experiment with the idle fuel... Think I will go wideband; much easier than trying to interpolate the narrow band signal.
I think I must be getting a lot more air flow than a standard setup... after looking over some of my higher RPM logs its clear that its running way too lean (just under 0.2V on the NB at full throttle)
There are even some knock counts under heavy acceleration... the lean conditions would not be aiding this at all.
My new first point of focus is getting an appropriate amount of fuel flowing.
Does anyone have some guidance with respect to the best TARGET AFR map for the 304... or is a factory target map pretty good?

I noticed it goes into lean cruise as well .
I think factory setting too rich
I think something like the note pad attachment would work well.

When your doing the ve for idle disconect the idle stepper motor and use the throttle stop screw to adjust the idle down start at 1000 rpm and work down to 400 rpm using throttle stop screw
pull off injector plug leads on the bank that doesn't have the O2 sensor to add load (I was able to get the v12 to idle on one bank @ 400 rpm with one ecu unplugged)
when you've mapped as much as you can smooth out the rest and set throttle plate for 100 rpm lower than desired idle and reconnect stepper motor .
Well thats how I do it
