VZ 3.6L Timing Chain Codes off

Post by julespatch »

Hi Guys
Does anyone have a bin file of a E55/ME9.6 LY7 3.6L VZ with timing chain codes disabled? P0008, P0009, P0016, P0017, P0018, P0019. You'd be helping me out enormously :)
Or perhaps the damos file to match it in WinOLS?
Attached is a file from an old ECU hooked up on my bench read with Kess.
Muchos gracias
:)

Why would you want to disable the codes unless your going to sell it like it & then make it a NIGHTMARE for someone else?

Because the guy owns the car and it's only at 90000. It happens.

No point just hiding the codes the chain jumps teeth and wipes everything out soon after .holden used to update the ecu to get an extra 10000km out of the chains
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

The latest cal from Holden will have the error bands a bit wider which may keep the codes clear for a while longer however if they are worn it will eventually cause issues. Chain wear and phasor errors are common on engines that havent had regular oil changes or the right viscosity oil.

thanks for everyones responses. i offered to do the upgrade via SPS for them but he's not interested.

i'm in all your boats too, fix the issue rather than delete the errors but the customer is always right.
it's all good, if it cant be done i'll get a hp tuners from somewhere and do it. bugger
