Low Speed fan problem on v6 Conversion

Post by egbert »

We have just put a v6 conversion out of a 2002 vy auto in an old 1959 Austin truck that has been converted to an American style BBQ smoker.

All went well with the help of this forum with regards to wiring and how to set up the pcm etc using Tunerpro and The Flash tool. The Vats have been turned off and we are working without a BCM.

The problem that we have is that the Fan turns on about 10 seconds after the motor is started and stays on. I have changed the low speed fan parameters to max, but this made no difference.

We are using the factory bin and the enhanced xdf and adx but cannot find anywhere to turn of the problem. A search of the forums indicate that we need to disable the DTC 92 so the pcm doesn't turn on the fan. At the moment is is showing a DTC 92 error. I have included the bin

Cheers and thanks for a great site

Have a look at masking code 51 from memory. It's for low speed fan if no BCM is connected.
