Engine light/fault codes, comms with 3rd party interface
Hi All,
I purchased an NVRAM for a series 3 vs factory 5 speed manual, 5l ute before xmas, and have finally installed it in the car....so all I have done is replaced the factory memcal with the NVRAM........and now I have engine light on and fault codes below showing......apparently these codes are automatic transmission fault codes.......so how do I go about rectifying this issue.
I have also now (even though I have this issue) been able to hook up the nvram through tuner pro and now have live tuning.....not sure if this will help me solve this proplem.......any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Good thing to know when tuning how to use flash tool.
Search on here for OSE Flash Tool. Do a "Get BIN" and post it up.

I have the OSEplugin running on tunerpro (as stated in first post I have it all ready to do realtime tuning.....so I wouldn't of thought I need that flashtool....I so confused.

Re: Egine light on and fault codes after NVRAM install
The flashtool does more wholesale operations - reading or writing a complete bin or just the calibration, it is a simple way to get a complete file to upload here for us to look. Tunerpro does the individual edits to tune (but it can read a partial or full bin depending on the oseplugin settings). Its much easier to ask someone to run ose flash tool and get bin than to explain how to configure oseplugin to do it with tunerpro. You should exit tunerpro before using oseflashtool, only one software can be connected to the car at once. I believe the qdm errors are normal and should be ignored. Temp low i expect would clear after it gets some heat in to it. Force motor im not sure (I dont have one of these cars / transmissions myself).

If you click get bin in tunerpro does that not upload the actual bin? I haven’t tried it with a nvram but pretty sure it works with the ostrich

Re: Egine light on and fault codes after NVRAM install
Its a bit misleading. In TP upload/download does only the calibration section of the code and not the entire code. Flash tool can do do the lot, upload/down the entire contents, including upgrading the OS part of the code and moving across the existing cal data into the new OS. That is the migrate cal function.
