VX/Vu/Vy PCM to Vs

Post by InspectorCabbage »

Sorry if this has already been covered but struggling to find anything on it

am i able to use a flash based PCM in a vs commodore without modding the wiring? and if so id be able to flash a vs bin/ cal onto the pcm or have to modify a VY to suit?

thanks in advance

Why do you want to use a flash based PCM (VX,VY) in a VS commodore? No you cannot flash a VS bin/cal into a VX VY flash PCM.

i have a spare one laying around and it would save me from buying a nvram memcal to be able to tune :ugeek:

But it also means you can't realtime tune, very slow & painful & doesn't give you enhance features!

I have re-pinned a few from flash style to VT-VX, but with VS normally go the other way to 11P.

Yeah the flash pcm software wont run the vs hardware. You can buy a uv eraser and eprom programmer to program the memcal without an nvram but it'll be tedious. Probably fine to just disable vats or a well defined edit but most would not tune like that.
