another happy customer.

basically if you are trying to run a "factory" memcal code/tune with mods you need to AA as above or the computer chucks a spaz because its not as it should be (due to your tweaks)

the custom codes like $11P/$12P dont have this issue when putting it back onto a stock memcal.

So I had this same issue last week with a tune. I loaded 12p onto the nvram, tuned the car fine (vn v8) and every time I loaded the tune onto the stock memcal the car would go into limp mode. Tried three seperate times of erasing the memcal and reloading it. No joy and in the end I had to sacrifice my nvram as it was Friday afternoon and they had a 6 hour drive back home in the car.

How did you get the tune time off the nvram.i just read the nvram in my programmer and split the correct tune out then burn to memcal.12p won't fit on a stock vn memcal the Eprom is too small you need to either socket it and fit a bigger 27c256 or 27c512 eprom or use a vr memcal

Well that would explain why. I simply saved the tune through tunerpro and loaded that onto the memcal. First vn I’ve done. The memory side of things confuses me for some reason. Can’t get my head around it and I’m sure it’s probably simple as to understand. :?

Tunerpro will only have the cal section and no code you can read it out with oseflashtool then burn though but I've had the off issue so just read the nvram itself

So chuck the nvram into the programmer, read and save that then load that onto the memcal?

Yeah read it then split the file you read off with tunerpro bin splitter then burn the tuned one to eprom there is the equivalent of 4 tunes in the nvram

You are separating the nvram from the board it's mounted on yeah, just thought I'd ask.
