Burning Eproms wont work if there is a change to the binary
Im tuning a VS 5.0 and tuned it up great using an emulator real time tuned.
Ive saved the bin file and burned it to a chip, the ecu acts like there is no chip, fans come on with key on and Auto is in limp mode, there is a code 51 prom error and security error, have tried disabling vats and that does not work.
When I emulate from the stock BIN the car starts and runs great, everything works.
Even if i make a change the the original BIN im using it wont even emulate either... Load the stock bin and its fine.. even only a single change it wont work.
Using BMZK 5 litre VS auto
Im thinking maybe a file offset issue? Im not up with it all.
Using a SST27fs512 eprom
Any help appreciated

offset is at 8000 pretty sure. That will fix the issue.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

When emulating you need to set the eprom ID to AA to stop the code checksumming or it will go limp home mode and error 51.auto code will use the whole 27sf512 chip no offsets needed .
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

If the tune isnt set to AA you will need to power down the ecu by disconnecting the battery when swapping between tunes

You look up the tune here: https://pcmhacking.net/memcals.html and see that BMZA is $11 with 0x6008. Then you look in the bin at address 0x6008 and confirm that its 11. And change that value to AA.
However, and it might be too late now, but if you had used $11P or migrate your changes in to an 11P bin you get the best definitions, more features, and dont need to do this at all.

What emulator are using?
If NVRAM did you download the BIN using oseflash tool?
If not you may just have the cal section if used the bin from Tunerpro.
Post up a copy of the bin if you would like to confirm it is complete.

Re: Burning Eproms wont work if there is a change to the bin
I used the moates gear to do it all.
On line 6000 / 8 it's a 58
I also didn't have access to the original bin from the original memcal.

$58 is VS V8 auto so thats probably correct.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
