I will have a look at your page. You can get a cheapie I think around $30-40. I think it will be a worthwhile investment before you wear the starter out lol

Thanks man, yeah I should grab one just to check but out of curiosity what would make the engine loose compression

Can be a couple of things but until we eliminate each one it’s just a guessing game. Mate do yourself a favor and see if you can get a compression gauge and do the test. At least we know the engine itself was a good runner so that’s a bonus.

Ok I will but what's everything involved that could do it because I really don't think compression has anything to do with it, it does fire but just won't stay running

Well it’s up to you. But if you think it’s got compression and it still won’t start on the fluid... it has to be loosing spark as mentioned earlier on.
