VSIII v8 ute. getrag 5 speed. 220i factory stroker CSVBullet

Post by WoBlackBarry »

Can someone please let me know everything I need to access, data log and make changes to my
1999 VSIII Bullet Ute 350ci 220i factory stroker.
I have accessed tuner pro with my envious customs 16pin to usb cable. Briefly a while ago now. Prob ran in a 215i bin, But I just checked for faults.
Looking to now bluetooth to Android using Aldldroid. And get back on the laptop.
Want to check I have the right ecm pcm memcal bin etc.
I found some info in a vt hsv service manual. Before digging through your tools for a start. Just want to check I'm good to play.

Cheers

Maybe the "Memcal ID Tool" is your first port of call. With any luck, this will identify what bin you have, so you can then look for the correct TP5 files to use.

If it can't, then you can use the OSE Flash tool to read the first 65535 ($000-$FFFE) bytes of the bin (byte $FFFF will read as rubbish due to a GMH firmware bug, the second bank of a standard memcal can't be read) and do a binary comparison with candidate bins you can find here and elsewhere. I think you also have to ignore the first 8192 ($000-1FFF) bytes because that maps to other (non-memcal) stuff in the ECU/PCM.

Joe.
