$11 Definition Info and XDF

Postby VL400 » Sun Jul 18, 2010 8:10 am

The $11 code is used in VR V6 and V8 with automatic transmissions. It controls the 4L60E transmission along with the engine. The engine program is very similar to the VR $12 code, the main changes are for banked injection with a cam sensor. The V6 uses this while the V8 still uses batch injection where all 8 injectors are fired at once. The bins are 64k in size.

XDF For Editing In TunerPro
This is a fully featured TP4 XDF listing every single parameter available in the PCM, it uses categories and levels to try and make the XDF simpler to use. Its still a work in progress as the levels still need work along with some formatting of names. If you find any errors or would like to request a change please post here. The XDF works with the bins listed under variants 3, 4 and 5 of the post by adrian thats linked above.

Yep should have been KPH not RPM, fixed now :)

The flags are for processing the fault condition and then if the CEL should be displayed. There are two lots as the transmission code and engine code are kinda like two different systems, so there are two lots of flags.

And In the updated XDF hover you mouse over the headings and it gives you a description. They just simply tell the PCM to process individual faults and if the fault is set to turn on the CEL.

This XDF is really well defined but I've found a bin that has some stuff not defined, does anyone know what it is in these area's?

I thought anything before the start of the cal area was normally ram, but not sure?

There's also a hell of a lot of stuff after 8FFE of which I though that start getting into the programming area?

The $11 code is a little different and has program space before the cal, this is the reason the TP checksum does not work  The items after 8FFE is also program space which starts at 0x9000.
