2005 5.7L standalone harness

Post by andypandy42 »

Hey guys,

So you have been more than helpful thusfar which is appreciated!
Just wondering if anyone can clear up some information for me in regards to a certain plug on the stock VZ 5.7l harness.

I've managed to locate the "wires needed for standalone" listed for my PCM on LT1Swap using a multimeter in the white 26 pin connector (please see attached photo) which connects to the body loom, however I seem to have no "Pin 75 - PCM Ignition Supply" (Blue connector) and no "Pin 46 - Check Engine Light Control" (Green connector). I'm just wondering if the Australian equivalent have them in different pin locations, or if I should be adding pins in order to have a CEL?

There seems to be quite a few left over wires in that body control harness connector, I'm assuming some are for OBD etc, however are any of the others relevant and required to wire up? Do any of these possibly need ign or batt +12v? Are they power wires for coil's, injectors and the like?
I can't seem to find a pinout particularly for that one connector! It just seems like everything else relevant to getting the wiring sorted seems to be relevant to that connector and I'd like my best chance of getting it wired correctly! Is this the only connector I really need to tap into for all of the required wiring?

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks guys!

See the PDF I posted there.

There's 2 connectors to worry about. The large white one you have there. And a smaller black one that runs to the fuse box and supplys power to coils, injectors etc etc.

Thanks heaps for the information mate, greatly appreciated.
Upon looking at my loom however, it doesn't match up!
I have the blue/green harness.. would that be why there is a difference?
My white plug seems to have more wires in it than the pinout listed. Would you happen to know if there would be one available for my loom?
The back side of my white plug is below for reference.

Thanks again!

The pinouts may be to suit the earlier red/blue PCM, I can't remember.
I do have a more updated version with more stuff listed I'll upload tomorrow.
It should match up function wise even if the PCM pin is different.
Cheers

Awesome, thanks heaps mate!
After doing some more research, it appears there are two type of connectors.
Mine is the X206 as shown in the picture below!
Do the PCM pinouts change aswell? Or just this connector?
