Injector flow rate and cylinder size. Kalmaker-TunerPro

Post by Mr DOHC »

Hey all.

I’ve just gotten my car running with the new cam (355, 10:1, H286) and the car is running very rough, very!
I’ve been looking around the tune and I’ve noticed that the “Kalmaker cylinder size” is set at 183. And the “Kalmaker injector flow rate” is 0.875.
Now when I look up the old Kalmaker book it states I should have a .715 cylinder size and a .186 injector rate.

Is this a conversion thing and it’s correct or is it off?

Running an original Kalmaker with TunerPro, using Kalmaker SP3 N03 XDF and the Kalmaker_SP3_N03 TP5 ADX.

I opened another bin with just the Kalamker XDF. Its BMZN 5.7L 215i and the “Kalmaker cylinder size” is set at 147. And the “Kalmaker injector flow rate” is 0.583.

I should mention mine is the same size motor and i have the 215i Bosch Blue tops in it.

does that mean mines wrong?

lol
It looks like there are offsets when using TP.
Judging by your flow rate, I assumed you had the '775s installed.
Cylinder size is just 5.7/ number of cyls.
Did you read Delcowizzid's post. Maybe try his XDF.
In your first post, it looked like you had the flow numbers and cyl. size mixed up between the tune and Kal recommendation?
Ie .715 likely matches 0.875? (or slightly higher 0.11), or it would in TP normally
Are the plugs dark
Post a table, say A/Fr's and or VE screenshot and we'll see what's going on, using Kal's XDF and the one mentioned in this post.

Nothing wrong with kalmaker if you can and want to use it, but if your tuning with tunerpro anyway you might as well move across to 12p on the same hardware.

I dont know how to do that. The stage i am at (needs a full retune) i should work it out.
Is there a step by step on how to do it?

You need to compare the tuned kalmaker file with the standard file & then copy those changes across to the standard version of $12p.

Thats right. Click the green FAQ button up near the top right to get the links to the main docs about 12p and downloads.
