My Vr ecm idle stepper control has died :( . i cannot find a VR/S manual ecu to replace it . i have boxes of 808's can you still get the fast ALDL boards to convert the 808?

I am sure he means the SXR board not the USB comms.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

The USB comms can provide an ALDL output, so can be used in place of the SXR boards. Instead of connecting the RX and TX lines, you'd connect the normally unused pin which is ALDL to the pad on the PCB which runs out to the ALDL pin on the back of the pcm. Its not commonly done, and you'd need to figure something for mounting (perhaps glue it to the main pcb) but it can be done.
