Is it possible to do a spark cut or a 2 step for a ecotec or earlier v6?
Something loud, -30deg on limiter would be mad.
anyone had any success with this?

Yes and no. Yes as in VL400's programmable ignition module has a 2 step limiter, no as in they are no longer made since quite a few years ago and impossible to find now.
You can pseudo do this with a 424 ECU from a VR as it has dwell control but you lose a heap of functions for the dash iirc putting it in a VT-VY.
It might be possible to do similar with the ECU you have but I know nothing about MAF based ECUs so someone else will be to confirm or not.
