Ive been looking for some VY logs in an old thread that should be good to compare. This is a good thread: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2820

This post mentions the quad 1 and 2 faults, viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2820&hilit=vy+log&start=10#p31334 so I think they are normal.

So I used yoda adx from here viewtopic.php?f=10&t=725 with the log here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2820&hilit=vy+log&start=10#p31199 and did a bit of reading.

It seems the computer does not display the gear, only the position of the gear selector. Maybe there is a problem with your selector? In the thread here viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2820&hilit=vy+log&start=10#p31193 you are told the gear ratios which define each gear. To see gear you'd need to connect VSS and then use the gear ratio to see what gear is delivered by the trans. The log when you turn on gear ratio shows that you always see D4 in drive as that is the position of the stick, regardless of the actual gear the 4L60e has selected at the time.

They changed (at least one of) the quad driver ICs (U15 in VT, seems to be an allegro UDN2559) in the VY PCM so the fault input doesn't work the same as the earlier units.

Found the problem. There is a 6 pin connector that has A1, D1, Injectors and a Pink/Blue wire that needs to be connected to 12V for the automatic to power all the solenoids. As soon as I gave it power the DTC codes dissapeared. Its shifting automatically now. Also found out the VSS speed sensor also needs to be connected otherwise it wont shift automatically.
