Drag racing 4L60E

Post by h4x0r »

I'm running 11p on a 424 and want to tune the auto for drag racing. I was manually shifting and 1-2 is ok but it didn't want to manually shift 2-3 and cost me a lot of time. It seems the recommendation is to let the computer do the shifting. What do I need to do? I'm guessing I just tell it to shift after rpm points?

trial and error really. set rpm low for shift, then adjust speed. take into consideration the time for it to shift as well.

i.e if 110kph is 5k rpm & your limiter is 5400, you may need to lower the speed to prevent it from banging limiter if it takes a while for it to get it's shit togethor to complete.
