is it actually working though ? does it change voltage as you open the butterfly ?

if the tps code comes up, the reading you get in the log isnt tps.... its the estimated tps based on map sensor kpa.

Yeah, as far as I know there is only "TPS - TPS Full travel - Worst case minimum voltage" which you might need of you cant get a proper 5v swing, eg 0.5->2v or something on a conversion, but it sounds like you might have a physical problem. Do you see approx 0-5v swing between the signal wire and ground on your multimeter as you actuate the TPS?

If you check the TPS and can see the voltage changing while logging, reset the codes and go for a drive while logging. Will then be able to see when the fault occurs and what causes it.
