tuning options

Post by monte0 »

Hi, I'm new on here. Been using DHP software for years now for tuning most sc 3800 applications along with tiny tuner and was wondering what alternative besides HP tuner is there? I was checking out tunerpro, is that compatible with 3800 v6's?

It will tune anything if you have a way to read and write bins (DHP), but you'll need xdf and adx files to define whats in the bin and to log. As far as I know they dont exist currently, but if they do google might turn them up for you.

Sorry for the late reply. With the DHP I'm limited to flashing only things that are supported OSID's. I'm trying to find another GM tuning platform besides HP tuners. Tunercats would be a option but I guess there not selling anymore by what I was told.

efilive is very good (better than hp tuners and tunercats in my opinion) and definitely worth considering if it supports your target vehicle.

I'm not looking for specific but just in general. I see it supports some. I currently have DHP and tiny tuners for doing all my 3800 sc v6 stuff. Mainly looking to get into the v8's more to learn them as I'm going to do a lq4 swap on my 70 monte carlo. Plus tune other v8's for people local to me.
