Where did you get the PLCC to DIP adapter?
http://www.epboard.com had the best price by almost half of others. Cost of adapter was cheaper than my labor to solder on 32 tiny wires. Wait till I verify it works though :comp:

I just end justified a bin onto a 29F040 and no luck either. I'll double check all the solder joints on this adapter tomorrow.

Perhaps try plugging the Ostrich into an Eprom reader and try reading it like an eprom? I know when I was playing with mine theres some bank configuration that isn't as initiative as it first appears...

I'm writing 60000->7FFFF and it's matching my bin when I read out the file. Still won't boot with the Ostrich or a 29F040 plugged in. I did verify the pin order of the adapter but i'll have to see if there is a disconnect somewhere of a pin not making contact for some reason.

maybe write the ostrich file to a DIP EEPROM and try that in the adapter. Sometimes the Ostrich needs a booster to work properly.

That's what a 29f040 is. Same memory array as the Ostrich

yeah but I mean putting the file on a DIP EEPROM onto the DIP-PLCC adapter to test the adapter is working
