Need assistance - Northstar PCMs

Post by gmnut37 »

Does anyone have any experience or the capability of hacking and modifying the 1996-1999 Cadillac Northstar PCMs? They are a Delphi PCM.

Anyone experienced; please contact me or reply to this thread. I'm no programming whiz - but maybe someone else here either will work for my company or can assist me in this project. I'll learn coding if I have to.

Thanks in advance

The only thing I know of is people use an LS1 PCM (09354896) with some custom programing based on the 4.0L used in the Shelby Series 1.
Other than that, no one has really touched those PCMS, they aren't very popular to modify.

I run a Vin Y N* in my Fiero. I use a 7165 ECM with OSE12P for engine only operation - I have a 5 spd.
It runs well, still have minor issues with some aspects of the tune, mostly around idle and integration of A/C, cooling fan etc.
Major tuning of the fuel map is quite easy with the WB O2 sensor.
Had to mae my own Bin though - used a data file I found of the stock OBD2 bin - did some excel sheet manipulations to come up with mine.
Cheaper option than the 0411 LS ecm.

Cheers.

Further to my last post..

Am I the only one running a 7165 and OSE12P on a Northstar?
Every so often I do a search for others for additional info or ideas and get no response.
Anyone else doing this?

Cheers.
