us gm bosch ecu in au ve series 2 3.6 ?

Post by amiga68000 »

Im new to all this.
here's my backgound so you know a little about me.
self taught in electronics and coding ,6502,68000,8086 assembly language
self taught crt repairs and others things.
understand cars and combustion engines and a bit of physics .
dont do maths just do reality lol

anyhow i have a ve series ii 2010-11 3.6 sports wagon that randomly missfires on cylinder 1
swaped injectors, plugs, coils, and still random misfires on number 1 ?

car has done 137k now

seems to happen in same places on road aswell. eg driving in the same stretch of road and same situation.

so its make it not random . kind of ?

only thing i can sort of point it too is it happens at lower revs on slight incline or hills.

idles fine. drives fine, give it gas and mid too high rpm all good .

then drive on highway on slight incline then slight shutter and checkengine and more shudder and pull over. turn off restart and all good to go

I was going to get new ecu from us all same numbers etc. and reprog or swap flashrom or somthing.

dont know if ecu has transistor drivers for each coil . or are they in the coils. but if in the coils there still should be some type of output from ecu through a transistor or driver ic etc.

i dont know jack. just desperate ? anybody help please !!!!!!

How do you know its always cyl #1 missing?

Are you able to take any kind of data log?

only by computer scan

3 different computers all same results

p0300,p0301

i herd a rumor that a p0301 could also be underterminded but i dont know.

I'd be a bit suspicious of fuel if its high load lower rpm but i think your going to need to get some logs to see a bit more and get and idea if that is the case and which if any sensors on the input are off or if thats ok and its on the delivery side of things. It could be o2 sensor(s), dirty maf, fuel reg sticky or lazy injector or the list goes on.

Ide put a scope on the injector wiring.some of them ecu's doing in injector drivers causing random missfires. One guy on justcommodores wired the problem injector to the one next to it to save buying an ecu missfire gone
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem
