Depending on the NVRAM board, I have adapters so the DS1245Y does not need to be removed for programming.

Such an adaptor for the VS/VT NVRAM board would only be able to rewrite the Cal, right?
I think I read somewhere that the NVRAM board is write-protected above $6000, so a programming adaptor wouldn't be able to write a whole Bin, only read it.
