connection errors with TP

Post by Gareth »

Hi all, Im looking for some help with a problem Im having.

First of all we are using nvram in our vt v6, we have had success connecting and emulating in the past but haven't been able to get it to connect or upload for a few weeks, Im still a novice at this so please be patient.

When I fire up tuner pro with our aldl usb cable connected (all pcmhacking products) it beeps and recognises the hardware, when I connect for logging it says in the status bar there are errors, see as many as 3000 in about ten minutes, I've played with the echo settings, no help, I've disconnected the bcm, I've banged my head on the steering wheel, still didn't work.

These errors seem to 'sometimes' go away if I turn off the ignition - but not every time. when there are errors being received it won't allow us to emulate or upload a file.

any ideas??

On a separate issue, I've down loaded tunerpro rt onto my new laptop, for some reason it won't recognise the ose plugin, I go to tools, preference, data Acq/emulation and its not listed, I've shut down tuner pro after cutting and pasting into the correct 'plugins' folder, I have the latest release of everything, I have read and reread all the guides but now am at a loss. :comp:

Are you using oseplugin? Set for vt? Once it connects start logging straight away while chatter is disabled. Logging keeps using the data bus which keeps chatter disabled. If you wait too long chatter will turn back on.

Yeah try that. Show loading the adx, the configuration page of the plugin and what happens when you hit connect and start logging. Make sure the filenames and settings are all readable.
