connection errors with TP
Re: connection errors with TP
Where'd you get the interface from? Any different on battery or mains power?
Re: connection errors with TP
I got the Comms and NVRAM from Jayme. The laptop is always running on mains power.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: connection errors with TP
Wish I could help. Have you tried it on just battery or even a igarette lighter power supply?
Try Tazzi's AED software see how it goes. Is the data in the logs still usable?

Re: connection errors with TP
Everything seems ok except the connection error once the motor starts. I will try it on battery power next weekend. I may even start from scratch on another laptop.
Re: connection errors with TP
I wonder if things like suppressors on the alternator or ignition coil could help?
Re: connection errors with TP
Its just strange that it worked ok for weeks and then suddenly problems.

Re: connection errors with TP
I had a similar problem. Only done it when the laptop was unplugged from power. Using the car charger fixed the problem for me.
Re: connection errors with TP
Could this possibly be caused by low battery voltage? I'm not convinced my alternator is charging the battery properly, also may explain my Wideband sensor problems. The voltage at the battery terminals was just above 12 Volts and when I measured the voltage on my switched ignition wires it was about 11.2v.
Re: connection errors with TP
That is an issue...
A fully charged battery is 12.7v
Half charged 12.4v
Flat 12.1v
Try explaining THAT to a customer
That issue will be affecting your wideband to a degree, im sure they have voltage offset to a point, the heater will take longer to get hot at lower voltage.
This has given me the idea for a 'before you tune' check list, ill get some stuff together and start a tread.

According to chemistry, alcohol is a solution...

Thanks Biggvl, that would explain the slow decline from full connection to no connection
