That's it. The earth you wont need to join it to ground the ecu does that.
I remove that wire from the ecu plug and fit my own one temporarily.

On my own car I have a wire coming from the NB ground pin and the wideband pin and have them on a plug.
And another 2 wires (ground and 12v supply) going to a 4 pin plug.

Whenever the NB is in I refit that ground wire, if the wide band is in I fit that wire to the NB ground pin.

Are you looking at the auto ecu D8 isnt used for wideband.

put wideband linear output + to D8, put wideband linear output - to C13 (this is the o2 sensor earth) and done.
