VN is 100mm wider in the track, they do handle a bit better due to this (wheel base to track width ratio), thats one of the reasons why I run 50mm spacers on each side.

This is similar to the brake package thats on its way for this car

This type of set up is widely used in 'modified production' (high end speedway sedan class) so should be the go, the calipers weigh about 500gms!!! :wtf:

Nice,

Been sympathetic to your cause, I've lost a couple of kilos the last 2 days installing insulation in my ceiling. Damn glad that is done. next week after when I'm off shift again I'll start on the under floor stuff. Should be worth another kilo or 2 :D

You could try gun drilling the axles.

Anyone know how much weight there is in the interior deadener in VN/VP models? like floor pan, parcel shelf and boot floor.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Yes, around 35kg for a sedan. That's everything, trans tunnel and parcel shelf included.

thinking of doing that on my VP. After having the console out for a while, still waiting for my upholstery to be done I have quite enjoyed the extra road, trans and engine noise coming up though the leaky shifter boot. I reckon without deadener it would give the car a better interior raw sound with bonus weigh reduction.

So that 35kg wasn't including the under body deadener?

No. Underbody is untouched on mine. The stuff from in the cabin filled 3 empty beer cartons.

empty cartons ey? guess that was a 1 for 1 exchange while you took time to scrape off the deadener
