Something like this might work for your lower trailing arms.

Nice button gear! Was looking at these the other day. Could run more rims width also...

Have looked at these, the hyme joints are great for bitumen - not dirt, the high response rate causes violent unloading of the suspension under acceleration over bumps where as rubber bushings have a sort of give that aids in traction, the other issue is that the spring saddle sits the spring approx 3in higher than standard (meaning less suspension travel with the same ride height due to shorter spring, very important to have as much travel as possible on dirt) .

Do appreaciate the thoughts though

Keep em' coming :D

When you mentioned the rear axle you powder coated to repel dirt= less weight.

I had a thought, why not coat the whole underbody with ultra ever dry or similar nano bump surface treatment.

And after all that was done got stuck into cutting out unnessesary stuff, like the old battery mount and old fuel tank mounts and protection bars.
Had a bit of a rethink about componant placement, we used to run the fuel tank up high to make better use of rear weight, but all that was done when the car was first built and when it was a street stocker... Now we have the ability to adjust the suspension and chassis so the new fuel tank will be getting mounted as low as possible and as close to the diff as possible to aid in a lower centre of gravity.. The new fuel system is 10kgs lighter than the old complicated setup :D and requires a lot less bar work.
