biggvl, have you dyno tested with the lid spacers on/off? usually more plenum volume is only good for FI, N/A it usually slows the airspeed down to much.

It helps with high RPM NA as well but this engine certainly doesn't rev anymore than stock.

Im keen to see what changes to the torque curve are without it and with it just to confirm.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

So after a lot of hunting, i finally tracked down a tap for the IAT, for anyone interested its M14 x 1.5 which is made from unobtainium.... Anyway, can anybody see any issue with the chosen location, i put it in the spacer hoping that heat soak will be less of an issue...

Isn't that a standard speak plug tap?

Yeah, funny that, never had the need for one in the workshop, done plenty of plug thread repairs over the years, use a tread chaser for that (or helicoils is someone else has had a go) never had to cut a spark plug thread from scratch before.

It seems there is little demand for that size and thread combo (around here anyway) it took almost 2 weeks to get one from our tool supplier...

But back to the original question - can anyone see an issue with the placement of the IAT?

No mines in the same spot as yours maybe a little closer to the throttle body but works fine for me gets a reasonably good reading
