Re: OSE 12P V111
Have you got a log of it happening and can you post your bin/cal? It does seem odd. There needs to be some throttle to get it to lock initially.

No log sorry.VL400 wrote:Have you got a log of it happening and can you post your bin/cal? It does seem odd. There needs to be some throttle to get it to lock initially.
This thing is just my daily hack and I have done zero mods to it! I just use it as my mobile test bench - lol
BUT... This weekend I will be fitting an ecotec from a VT and plan on running it from the trusty '808.

The motor is about 300,000km fresher and I thought it might be an interesting little experiment.
MAF delete, install the VP's MAP, retain batch fire injection, retain hydraulic auto... EGR may cause me some headaches though.
.... this is another story though and maybe worthy of a separate thread?
Here is my bin: If the wagon doesnt float away in the floods & rain tonight I'll take it for a quick run tomorrow and get some logs.
BTW here is something I was playing around with in openoffice to plot the lock/unlock and makes it a little easier to visualise. Pretty crude and simplistic but might come in handy... use it as you will.
(I can save as excel if you prefer)
Cheers, Chris

Re: OSE 12P V111
well nothing stands out in the bin as corrupt or anything like that ..... did this all work fine before using $12P ?
also what is your aim with the lean stuff in the map a: afr table ? if its for lean cruise then you can actually use a proper lean cruise table for that ?

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: OSE 12P V111
Yeah everything was fine before 12P
I did base the tune on APNX...
Originally was BAAM0265
Not worried about it, just trying to get it as sorted as possible & was curious.
I did swap the LOCK & UNLOCK tables.
So the LOCK TPS values are HIGHER than the corresponding UNLOCK TPS values.
This worked PERFECTLY!
Sorry - still no log (didnt want to get the laptop wet in the monsoon outside)
Re the "Map A: A/F Ratio - 20-100kPa Air Fuel ratio vs RPM and MAP"
Yep just removing fuel where it is not needed.
I havent bothered with the WBo2 on this thing. (half a million kays & pending motor swap).
Running lean on light load and overrun has had no adverse impact that I can see at this time.
I have looked at the lean cruise tables but havent really had much of a play.
Cheers, Chris

Re: OSE 12P V111
being that its low in the map kpa its not a real drama, the only difference is your leaner AFR's are in effect all the time whereas if you put the changes into the lean cruise table they only apply under certain conditions.
i'm not saying what you have done is wrong or right i was just making sure you know that there is purpose built table for lean cruise

out of the box, in APNX cal [TCC Params - TCC Road speed upper limit for LOCK] is 70 kph and [TCC Params - TCC Road speed lower limit for UNLOCK] is 64 kph
no mystery there, your values were incorrect by either your hand or someone elses and youve just fixed them up now to how they should be.

Sorry Jayme, just to clarify I was referring to the Tables:Jayme wrote: out of the box, in APNX cal [TCC Params - TCC Road speed upper limit for LOCK] is 70 kph and [TCC Params - TCC Road speed lower limit for UNLOCK] is 64 kph

"TCC - Unlock Table TPS limit Vs Road speed"
&
"TCC - Lock Table TPS limit vs Road Speed"
(I have left the Scalars untouched)
Yeah cheers mate.Holden202 wrote: being that its low in the map kpa its not a real drama, the only difference is your leaner AFR's are in effect all the time whereas if you put the changes into the lean cruise table they only apply under certain conditions.

This was just a test rig and I have done little more than experiment.

The real tuning will begin when the ecotec goes in

BTW Love your work with $12 guys... simply awesome.
My comments of the TCC behaviour are by no means meant as a criticism and are just a curiosity/observation.
I've managed to do a few tunes now, mainly on BLCF and I have never noticed this behaviour.
I will whack my memcal into another VPII V6 next week to see whether the TCC behaves the same (just as a sanity check)
Cheers Guys, Chris

Re: OSE 12P V111
also there is a $12P ecotec tune i made when i had an ecotec in my torana with T700 and 808 ecm, might be of use to you, it has dual spark maps too, one that pretty closely matches the stock ecotec spark and one for 98 octane fuel!

Re: OSE 12P V111
Will check it out and let you know. No one else has mentioned the tables may be backwards (and the code and XDF look to be correct from a quick glance) but will test it out.

Thanks for the heads-up on that one, should get me in the ballpark instantly

I grabbed the BIN from here: https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopi ... 4033#p4033
Did you end up doing anything with the EGR?
I'm tempted to try to make it work using one of the analog outputs but it may just cause too many headaches.
