Post by modzer321 »

Hi to everyone I’m looking for some advice basically I’m looking at creating tunes for ls1 cars mafless tunes and so on

What hardware is needed
I know efi live and hp tuners why would I use these I want something that doesn’t require license ect

A bit about myself

I’m hardware and software reverse engineer for the ps4 Ps3 psvita.
I’m also reverse engineered a lot of software based on the Tech2 privately in my own time
I’m looking at tuning my own personal cars

Yes I know there is a lot more then just upload and downloading ecu that’s up to me

Have a look at pcmhammer. All the details about hardware options are there too. There are a number of interfaces, or most J2534 tools with VPW protocol support are OK. Note that the tactrix which is a common low cost tool claims VPW support but does not actually have it. viewtopic.php?f=42&t=6730 and https://github.com/LegacyNsfw/PcmHacks

Look around the forums for the HSV mafless tune in another thread. Or use google. There is no secret special sauce for it, and its trivial.
