I'm fairly sure it's the same one Delco used. Hopefully he'll give some insights as I'm sure he had some issues using it.

Looks like the flywheel on the ecotec/Buick is a lot smaller than the ls style 168t anyone have measurements of either one because if that’s the case the cut out for the starter may not even be an issue for the smaller ecotec flywheel and the larger 6l80 bellhousing

Good point. Has me wondering if V8 converter will bolt up at all.

That’s not to much of an issue though could always go a smaller converter and have the bosses welded to suit or possibly even have the standard converter bosses cut off and remounted easy enough

Apparently there are 2 converts for the 6L80 a 300mm and 258mm which is probably the best size wise.
The 4l60 didn't like the climb up the Brynderwyn hills yesterday, even with added line pressure down low she's slipping on a power down shift both 2nd and 3rd gears. Seems ok if it's in gear and then apply power.

There is only so much you can adjust for wear and tear. Have you looked at Force motor- Normal mode 2-1 / 3-2 downshift pressure modifier.
Also, is it worse when hot? There are the trans temp based line pressure correction in 2/3/4.

Unfortunately the Enhanced tunes are not fully defined like 11p and 12p so a lot of that stuff is missing in my definition on the VX. I'm just putting a lot more torque into the trans than originally intended with the L67. Been playing with PE settings so getting more power with less throttle. I think I'm just pushing a stock 256,000 trans to far. Don't think the converter is happy either TBH but not sure what to do with that.'quipt4it wrote:There is only so much you can adjust for wear and tear. OK.
That 6l80E swap is do-able, but damn it will soak up a lot of time and money.

throw some new parts in the 4L60e?
Rebuid kits are cheap as now days like $500 for whole kit that gives you all new clutches, seals and parts upgrade, Plenty of aftermarket parts that'll easy take the power. Used trannys are cheap as to if you want to work on a spare and swap in, seen them for $200 in some places. As long as the bushings are still ok you can pretty much do a parts swap and new seals and drop it in for like $700, only things you would need is spring compressor.

Gonna have to do something. It's fine for normal driving but get up it and it's a little disappointing. Been driving a manual of late which is just compounding my distaste of automatics.
