Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
i've been to the guy local to me for getting the Gemini done, its never been an issue, but this car is a lot more modified than the Gemini so hopefully its all good.
i just spoke to him on the phone to see what the deal was, he seemed pretty fine with most things we discussed but wanted me to get straps added to the 4 link bars to catch them in the even of a joint failure .... so need to try and work that out this week.
over the weekend i got the last few things done to the car to be ready for tech inspection (before the above was requested), one of these things was to fit the headlights. I didnt have the clips that go on the guard to screw the lights too, so i used the left over window screws and some nut serts!
first time out of the shed in alot of years!
and this is the video of doing it

tell ya what it wasn't too happy running in 20 degree weather with the engine cold hahah

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
so took the car for tech inspection on saturday, meant to get a photo of it on the trailer, was a perfect open spot with sun on the right side etc anyways .... life goes on!
so the car itself is all but right with the tech inspection, i had two little holes in the firewall that needed plugs, and also some holes on the back parcel tray, a triangle around the kill switch, and my helmet is out of date ... so pretty happy with that!
i have a helmet on the way, and i took the opportunity to get a snell helmet this time so it will be right when i move from Super Street to Super Sedan class.
had to have flat black
i have a drum of methanol being delivered this week, so hopefully in the coming weeks i might be able to get it on the dyno .... so all looking good so far for Gunnedah in August!
Also had an excited little girl for the first time the car has been past her bedroom window
