Re: Vlad's rides thread
Nah, it's the first item on my list above.
Not sure if I should go for the regular brass one or the more expensive all aluminium ones rares are now making. In my experience aluminium radiators have never given me issues (apart from the plastic header tanks) but had many brass ones fail in the core, usually the solder joints and plenty of heater cores fail that were brass.

Yeah, been procrastinating over buying this car for a few months. Looked at many other options but couldn't beat the value even though it was expensive.

Re: Vlad's rides thread
i got a 2200rpm converter with kevlar lockup clutch, good take off but still good cruising!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Yeah that's what I am thinking too. Torque should peak from 2400-3500 but is very much flat down to 1800 rpm.Holden202T wrote:i got a 2200rpm converter with kevlar lockup clutch, good take off but still good cruising!

Looks decent quality from what I can tell. Comes with the foam like the genuine ones, unlike most of the brass ones these days.

Yep its behind a V8 and is a T700 ... when i spoke to the converter shop about it being for towing they suggested 2200rpm and kelvar lockup clutch ... it hasnt hit the road yet though.immortality wrote:For a 4l60e?Holden202T wrote:i got a 2200rpm converter with kevlar lockup clutch, good take off but still good cruising!

Re: Vlad's rides thread
What is the stock stall rpm? I assume it's the same for V6 and V8?
In other news I got my replacement odometer gears from the same guy I always get them from, he has stepped up his game. Instead of 3d printed nylon sun gear and OEM rubber planet gear it is now all injection moulded nylon and very high quality at that.
