What about we start a public file library? or is there one already I'm not aware of?In-Tech wrote:Luckily I have an ~265mb folder with a ton of modules that gets me out of trouble on most stuff, of course doesn't help when I need something I don't have

Yeah it shows fine in the SPS cal page, and it works fine in original SPS which I still have access to. But since I know I am being forced to the SPS2 soon, I would like it working correctly before migrating full time to it.ironduke wrote:I'm curious.. What happens if you type your vin into the sps calibration page? https://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web
Does it show cal info there or is that messed up to? Curious if that can be a way to double check to make sure its on gm's end of things.. I've wanted to do that next time it happens to me but now since I thought of that it's been good plus I've had a non sps2 last coupla weeks with big jobs..
Oh, mine does say NA, not sure how to change that? Says I need to log out to change but then I have no option to change itjulespatch wrote:Tazzi did you change your region to Australia? I noticed it was set to NA on initial setup.
I don't think there is, but I believe this would be good for ECUs and TCMs, and categorize them based on ECU type and Operating systems.Gareth wrote:What about we start a public file library? or is there one already I'm not aware of?

This public library, is this going to be just a big collection of sps cache files?
Re: GM You done f*cked UP with programming
Organized cache files, otherwise its too crazy.ironduke wrote:This public library, is this going to be just a big collection of sps cache files?

How much space do you think it could take up?

Re: GM You done f*cked UP with programming
If its just ECUs and TCMs, it wont be more then 1gb.Gareth wrote:How much space do you think it could take up?
If its anything else, this can be many hundreds of gigs since things like radios and clusters can have gigs with of firmware updates.

Re: GM You done f*cked UP with programming
I'm happy to help arrange this as long as Antus approves the room required..
What would be the best way to arrange files? By vehicle or by part number?

This is the existing library for the ALDL Holden stuff - viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3
As you can see it lists by vehicle

Re: GM You done f*cked UP with programming
Hiya, I would think by part number since one part number is used in many different vehicles. Here's a small screenshot example of a few in order numerically.Gareth wrote:I'm happy to help arrange this as long as Antus approves the room required..

Re: GM You done f*cked UP with programming
Personally I would still be grouping by ECU/TCM type and corresponding/compatible operating systems.In-Tech wrote: Hiya, I would think by part number since one part number is used in many different vehicles. Here's a small screenshot example of a few in order numerically.
It also helps for reverse engineering to identify what cals match which vehicles and how their differences correlate to another car.
Or at least, have some sort of filtering system which allows typing in an ECU type and Operating system to display compatible calibrations and their description (engine/engine diag, system ect).
