Vr running factory auto
wth l67 engine fitted
Running 11p.
3.9 diff gears fitted in diff.
Has been like this for about 2 years but i finally had enough of what its doing so pulled the laptop out today.
When in 3rd (selected on gear stick) and going full throttle from a dead stop or close to it will 80% of the time say hit the rev limiter, 2 or 3 times before it does the gear change from 2nd to 3rd.
Rev limiter is set around 5500 or 5600 of top of my head
I asked about this a while ago and was told it was cause of the 3.9 diff gears.
When im in 4th normal drive it does not seem to do it tho i dont do much full throttle pulls in 4th as its not good for the box i have been told.
Kick down (rolling) say doing 40 50 60 kph it will kick down to 2nd and change right on about 5400 5500 rpm or so and not hit limiter.
I have lowered the 2nd to 3rd speed kph in the 80 % upwards tps areas by around 20kph but does not seem to do much ?
I know i should take a log but forgot my aldl cable at home today so couldnt.
Has anyone on here seen something like this before?
I hope its not the auto dying
When i select 3rd on the gearstick does it run on some kinda difrent map as it thinks its in manual mode?
I know if i take a log i should be able to see if its commanding the change from the ecu on 2 to 3 and see what is actually going on.
Besides that car runs drives good ie shifts gears good up down etc etc. Is only full throttle from a dead stop or so thats causing me grief
