Vt v8 enhanced logging issue

Post by nutbag355 »

Gday all so I have an issue with a car currently that with the ingnition on engine off I can connect to the car (has nvram installed with vt v8 enhanced code) I can make any change I like but as soon as I start the car up the program goes haywire. I’ve tried disconnecting the bcm and no difference, sometimes tunerpro will crash. Any input would be great. Cheers

if it works with the ignition off you must have the settings right, so I'm thinking electrical noise when something powers on with the ignition. Aftermarket stereo or android or something like that on the ALDL line? Otherwise some other source of electrical noise in the car, possibly ignition related.

Given that it only goes haywire with the engine running that may suggest that’s it’s engine related rather than interior accessories related. Oddly the car will still start with the bcm removed. Vats still active. I may have to investigate why that would be the case, may or may not be related. I’ll check engine earths. Cheers

Is the engine fitted with resister spark plugs?
According to chemistry, alcohol is a solution...

I generally connect cable, open TP, start the car then hit connect. Always had issues when I connect before starting car. Are you just trying to log ?

When you disconnected the BCM, was that with BCM Be Gone switch mod?
