RTLS1

Post by Stokes1114 »

Just wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know how sweet Richards Real Time performs.
As all you have seen this daughter board is only applicable to P01-59's, and P01-P59 both take a slightly different board based on chip size.
I have been in contact with Richard about this many times over the last 6 months or so and based on price and the logging/tuning capabilities its a no brainer. I suggest contacting Richard for exact pricing, but I will say its less than HPT with much more capabilities 'IF' your using a P01-59. Who knows maybe in the future this can be expanded into other PCMs..

For the install I suggest Bubbas video as he outlines everything thats needed very well. I started with bubbas V2 as that was what Richard had worked with bubba on, but I quickly transfered over to V4 after I gave Richard the needed info for all the maps and whatnot. Note: You can add maps, and anything else you want to edit with this yourself. Log any Ram offset etc. Its all just editing a few different ini files.
I havent had a ton of seat time with this since the install, but its clear by this quick screen shot that the logging can be Extremely helpful in identifying whats really happening. Note the Seconds counter and the Current Cylinder Counter.. To be able to actually see what cylinder is up is just insane!!

I also have to say Richard has been more than helpful and wanted nothing but success from the install to up and running.

I hadn't thought about logging the cylinders with mine. That's awesome!

Ya you can log everything. If you know firing order etc you can see exactly which cylinder is knocking or missing, not getting fuel based on commanded pulse width... Let me know if you need any specific Ram offset bc I have tons figured out from disassembly.

I'm messaging with Richard on purchasing a RTLS1 and curious if anyone has experience moving a tuned bin from the RTLS1 to a regular P59? He mentioned a patch cable and possibly a little work that may be needed for a 7603 bin. He did say it works perfectly for Australian P59s, just curious if US P59s would be different
