Thread dig, I've been playing around with a pim today and mapped out where & what values are used for all the settings.

Got cocky and blanked the chip to try a write 1 of the files i pulled off... & it fails. Using a willem GQ-4x.

Tried a bunch of different versions of 93C46. chip itself is labelled 93C46W6

Yeah it seems the ponyprog is better than gq4 with eeprom write stuff like this… but also need to have a good quality aligator clip!

i had a exp2023+ device on my desk that come with some stuff but since i dont have a cd/dvd reader in my computers any more never used it to read software.

bit of googling and got the software, it worked and i now have it flashed to a good source again.. not that it bothered me im about to pick up a 2nd hand unit from fb marketplace. haha

I have 2 Gq4x units, one with firmware version 1.30, the other with 2.20, the one with earlier firmware fails to recognise
or flash without errors more times than the later firmware.
Did a voltage diagnostic test on the earlier one, failed 2 tests, later one didn't.

I'm hoping that there is a specific value that will enable the reverse relay output on the pim without setting it to a 5l40e.

I feel like around that 0x70/71 location, was the number or resets.. I think??? Maybe 75/75?

You'd know straight away after doing a reset.

Theres also a counter for how many incorrect immos entered.

You might be correct. a few of my reads did have data in there, then it went back to zero.

since this in a vy & im not doing any linking it might have reset when it took me a few goes at recovering the bin.

the willem reads the data bitflipped but the ezp device reads it direct.

ok, i suspect there is clearly a checksum going on. today instead of changing multiple options i just changed 1 value at a time and read the binary out.
4x05 is the checksum value

See the xlsx file & zip containing read pim data. Anyone got a clue as to working out the checksum?
