Stop TCC from disengaging at 0% TPS at highway speeds

Post by rjdrew1986 »

Does anyone know if there is anything that can be changed in a P04 calibration that would stop the TCC from switching off when the throttle is closed? More specifically, I have the tables setup to there the TCC switches on & off at the MPH & TPS that I desire and that works fine. But my driving habits are such that as I'm running along at say 55mph (with the TCC ON), there are occasions when I briefly let off the throttle (for a subtle amount of deceleration) & each time the TCC switches off. It does re-engage when I re-open the throttle but I would prefer to have it that the TCC does not switch off each time I close the throttle (unless the MPH were to decrease enough). I was thinking that perhaps I might be overlooking something obvious that would accomplish this.

there should be a flag in the calibration to enable tcc coast mode. I haven't done anything with the p04 so I can't point you in the direction on where to find it. I did find it for my p59, and I also found the tcc coast mode while braking so that tcc stays on when braking as well. It drives so much better with those two changes.

I did the same on a earlier V6 model, different PCM.
