Re: PCM Hammer P05 support
The bdm connections, found on this site are correct. Unknown flash is because there are different flash chips in the different P05's,only one is called out in the flash list, the other needs to be added. Go to Tools,New Flash,Nor Flash, then choose Intel 28F800C3,to copy from.I changed ID2 from 88C1 to 88F2,but the intel chip could have 4 possible for id2 88f1,88f2,88f3,88f4....mine just happened to be 88f2 (pics are in wrong order)

Re: PCM Hammer P05 support
Hahahaha thanks for the information but what timeing. I've had another of these PCMs open on ebay for a couple of weeks. And I am working from home for dayjob and just took a min to walk out to the workshop, looked at my p05, looked at the BDM connections, pondered if I should try and BDM it again, then came back inside, bought another unit, then hit reload and saw your post! Oh well, I might end up with 2xP05a and 3xP05b the way this is going... Thanks for the update!

Re: PCM Hammer P05 support
Yeah cool. Unfortunately I am overseas so pay many times the pcm price in postage. My first one was a software brick during development (my fault, oops), next one was a newer revision and didnt have VPW (but I didnt know that yet), so I thought it was DOA and a helpful forum member sent me another one, then when that didnt work either (and same service number as the last one) I added can bus pins and it started talking to other software on can bus but nothing on vpw.
.. so learnt that lesson. Then was looking for the connector to make a better bench loom and found another later type pcm with connectors for less than just the connector so I got that for the plug and added the pcm to the pile and now have the other of the first one on the way!

Just for the record DHP did not become HPTuners... Not sure where you got that.
But yes, that service number is the P05a which is dual protocol VPW and CAN, so I expect they went down a similar road back then to the one PCM Hammer is takeing now, where its easier to add another VPW PCM, than it is to make the jump to CAN protocol which the later CAN only ones require.
