Ford Bin file

Post by Yortt »

Is there any software/hardware available that will read and write a complete bin file for the FG falcon.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply, I have a copy of Rolls early beta program which he sent me but it misses two lines of code when I write to a PCM to clone a spare PCM hence the car does not recognise it.

You can't clone a PCM. Addresses below 0x10000 are not writable via OBD, the serial number is stored here along with some other stuff, this will stop a cloned PCM from working. If you wrote a bootloader it may be possible.

Basically you will need to recode keys/pats if you try to swap the physical PCM over.

PCMflash module 21 USA Ford will read & write bin files on BA-FGX PCM's & calculate checksums. Use any J2534 cable with 18v feps
Use the USA Mustang Spanish Oak 1MB option for BF-FGX PCM's
Aston Martin Spanish Oak PCM's are not listed but supported using this option

Use the US Black Oak 1472kb option for BA Black Oak PCM's

If you want to write the entire file from 0x10000 including the VID block in the bin file, select recovery mode before writing

Add module 29 PWM & you can read & write Ford EEC-V PCM's including Australian models

I've made the Spanish Oak Flash Tool which can read and write a binary file from the FG PCM. https://testerpresent.com.au/software.html

PCMflash module 21 is only $160 AUD if you have a dongle already https://scanmatik.pro/products/21-modul ... h-ford-usa
If you don't, add $86 AUD https://scanmatik.pro/products/pcmflash-dongle
$246 maximum if you have a cable and you can read & write Spanish Oak, Black Oak, Silver Oak, Green Oak, Bosch 9.8 & Bosch 9.8.1 PCM's
