well it appears work has recently started blocking the tunerpro website .... im just waiting for this one to be next!!

So you can set up ways around it then? Thats what I do everytime my partners work blocks her home webmail. We just move it again and again :) hehe.

well not quite, the IT department is huge and theres an area that looks after firewall and the internet blocking ... unfortunately i don't have any authority over that!!

but i am trying to find an open port which allows me to rdp to home ;)

Surely port 21 (Used for FTP) would be open, otherwise can you redirect RDP to port 80? 8-)

Failing that if you just want to read posts you can always use google translate as a proxy, not sure if you can still change the translate url to go from english > english, if you can't try Norwegian > English. Used to work back when I was still at school :lol:

no the problem is i am using those ports already at home for legitimate services so i need to find a port that im not using at home which work has open then i can re-direct RDP through that port!

when I want to go to a site that work has blocked I just use http://www.unblockwebsense.com/

sus out what the outside IP address of your work is, and set apache to proxy traffic from that address on port 80. Then you should be able to leave the services at home up, stay secure and let yourself proxy from there :) Just be careful and make sure you dont open apache proxy to the world! I see probes for that all day and night at home.
