Well it has been a busy day, stripped the Ute down to a chassis end engine, makes every thing easier to get at.
Rechecked all wiring etc. Double checked ignition timing and still no different, coughing and farting , running really rich.
Did a really silly thing and plugged in an original Camira memcal , and the engine ran the same as with all of the other chips that i burnt.
Could i be doing something wrong with my burning.
Using a VN VP memcal.........
Download the XDF and BIN.
Unzip both to another folder,
Open with Tuner Pro,
Change spark ref angle to 3.5 degrees,
Save to folder as ATZF3.5 etc,
Erase chip with UV,
Plug into Willem,
Check that the chip is empty
Empty cache.
Select bin,
Write and test.
Ready to go, supposedly !!!!
Any ideas..
Cheers

Re: WB injected 5 liter dramas
are you using a V8 memcal ?
sounds like it thinks its a 4 cylinder and not an 8!

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Using either v6 or 4 cylinder memcals erased and reprogrammed with v8 vp vn bins.

Re: WB injected 5 liter dramas
theres your problem.
on the other end of the memcal to where the eprom is there are little IC's one of these tells the computer how many cylinders you have and yours are either telling it 4 or 6 so making it think that the 7 and 8 ignition pulses are the next revolution of the crank so hense supplying too much fuel.
so as per the picture below i would get the v6 memcal and cut the leg off on the far end IC (furthest away from the eprom) to stop the 15k resistor making contact and hense it will then act like a V8 !!

Re: WB injected 5 liter dramas
I thought the netres was for limp home only, not for setting the cylinder config.
Will give it a go in the morning.
